How to use it

  • Read the original file’s pixels, file size, format and aspect ratio.
  • Compare those facts with the upload form’s current requirements.

Original

  • File size is reported from the selected file in decimal KB or MB.
  • Width and height are decoded pixel dimensions.
  • Aspect ratio is reduced to a width:height pair.

Common reasons it may fail

  • A browser may be unable to decode some HEIC/HEIF files.
  • A misleading extension or MIME type can make format identification uncertain.
  • This checker cannot predict whether a third party will accept an image.

Real limitations

  • This check is read only: it creates no output file and consumes no processing trial.
